Terms & Conditions

1. Applicability

These terms and conditions apply to all offers, quotations, agreements and services provided by Go To Guy Amsterdam (hereinafter: "GTGA") to clients (hereinafter: "Client"). By accepting a proposal or engaging GTGA's services, the Client agrees to these terms.

Any deviations from these terms are only valid if agreed in writing.

2. Services

GTGA provides local production support, research, location scouting, crew sourcing, contributor casting, permit guidance, translation, cultural briefing, documentary and journalism support, branded content production support and related services in Amsterdam and the Netherlands.

The exact scope of services is agreed per project in a written proposal or confirmation email. GTGA acts as an independent contractor, not as an employee or agent of the Client.

3. Quotations and proposals

All quotations and proposals are without obligation and valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. A project is confirmed when the Client accepts the proposal in writing (email confirmation is sufficient).

GTGA reserves the right to decline engagements at its own discretion.

4. Fees and payment

All fees are stated in euros and exclude VAT (BTW) unless otherwise indicated. The applicable VAT rate is 21%.

• Day rates and package fees are invoiced as agreed in the proposal
• Travel costs, accommodation, permits, equipment hire and other third-party expenses are invoiced separately at cost, unless included in a fixed package
• Urgent support surcharges (30–75%) apply to requests confirmed less than 48 hours before the required start
• Weekend and night surcharges (50%) apply to work confirmed outside regular working hours

Payment terms: invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date. For new clients or projects over €5.000, GTGA may require a deposit of 50% before work commences.

In case of late payment, GTGA reserves the right to charge statutory interest (wettelijke rente) from the due date.

5. Cancellation and changes

Cancellation by the Client must be made in writing. The following cancellation fees apply:

• More than 14 days before start: no cancellation fee
• 7–14 days before start: 50% of the agreed fee
• Less than 7 days before start: 75% of the agreed fee
• Less than 48 hours before start: 100% of the agreed fee

Significant changes to the scope, schedule or deliverables after confirmation may result in revised fees, agreed in writing between the parties.

6. Obligations of the Client

The Client agrees to:

• Provide accurate and complete information necessary for GTGA to carry out the agreed services
• Obtain any required permissions for use of contributors, interview subjects and locations that fall within the Client's responsibility
• Treat contributors, crew and other third parties introduced by GTGA with professionalism and respect
• Not approach contributors, crew or contacts introduced by GTGA for direct engagement without GTGA's consent for a period of 12 months

7. Third parties

GTGA may engage third parties (crew, translators, researchers, drivers, etc.) to fulfil the agreed services. GTGA will exercise reasonable care in selecting third parties but is not liable for their acts or omissions beyond what is recoverable from those third parties.

Third-party costs are passed on at cost unless included in a fixed package.

8. Confidentiality

GTGA treats all information shared by the Client — including project details, story angles, contributors, sources and internal communications — as strictly confidential. This obligation continues after the engagement ends.

The Client agrees to treat any information provided by GTGA about its network, contacts and methods with the same confidentiality.

9. Intellectual property

All content, research, footage or materials produced by GTGA as part of the agreed services become the property of the Client upon full payment of the invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

GTGA retains the right to mention the collaboration as a reference (e.g. on its website) unless the Client requests otherwise in writing.

10. Liability

GTGA will perform its services with reasonable care and skill. However, GTGA cannot guarantee specific outcomes — including but not limited to: access to locations or contributors, permit approval, interview outcomes or story results.

GTGA's liability is limited to the total fee paid by the Client for the specific project in question. GTGA is not liable for indirect damages, lost revenue or consequential loss.

GTGA is not liable for circumstances beyond its control (force majeure), including but not limited to: extreme weather, government restrictions, third-party cancellations or technical failures.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms and all agreements between GTGA and the Client are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless the parties agree to alternative dispute resolution.
